I was flying home from a business trip earlier this year and after missing my connection due to weather, I had to take a later flight. While frustrated and angered for the inconvenience, I am now grateful as it was on that later flight that I learned about Gran Sueno Resort just outside of La Paz, Mexico.
The perfect beach getaway for rest and relaxation which is exactly what we were looking for. It does not have the hustle and bustle of the big-name resorts, (no crowds, which we loved)!! From the attentive friendly staff, to
having our meals made to order, we felt like we were vacationing at our own private beach house. There are many activities offered for those looking for a more adventurous vacation including golf, fishing, and horseback riding just to name a few. However my wife and I were looking for R &R and opted for outdoor massages, lounging poolside (at our private swimming pool), and enjoying the beautiful beach. It goes without saying, we did not want to leave. Once back to reality, we almost did not want to share our rare find with our friends and family, wanting to keep “our private resort” our little secret. However, we decided it would be selfish not to tell others about Gran Sueno. In fact we are planning to go back next year with our family to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding anniversary. I am already working with the staff to make it a truly special event for my mom and dad. I know we will have a fabulous time as there will be something to do for everyone. I might even be a little adventurous next time and play golf!!
